2017 Programs

In two panel discussions, notable cross-disciplinary luminaries will explore the role of art as a mechanism for cultural analysis and, in particular, its capacity to address reality and realism in our "post-truth" world. Invited panelists include artists who work within the spheres of environmental and social practice and will take up questions including: how may aesthetics be used in service of advocacy; how do we relate to one another through the filter of alternative realities; how do artists blur the lines of truth, and to what effect?

All Culture Lab Detroit programs are free and open to the public.
